IT Sales Professional

#1293 Job Duties:
The objective is to generate growth in services and close business for an MSP Provider.  The individual plays a critical role in successfully driving our services offerings into the marketplace by understanding the current market conditions and developing a strategy to drive both internal and external awareness of the value for our products and services offerings. The individual is responsible to help bring to market and effectively position and promote current service offerings to customers, partners and key stakeholders.


  • Drive technical sales through knowledge and expertise
  • Close business on both lead generated and individually sourced leads
  • Scope of role will be broad through Customer Support, incumbent will be involved in everything from the development of services, to supporting the creation of marketing strategies, to the generation of the sales funnel and the closing of bookings and revenue, to identifying and developing partnerships that strengthen our position in the MSP space
  • Responsibilities in strategy, initiatives, tactics business development, sales and marketing with a strong emphasis on closing deals
  • Influence/decision making on pricing & markups

Job Qualifications:

  • Understanding of emerging technologies, IT Services, MSP services
  • Strong background in closing the sale
  • Critical thinker/problem solver
  • Motivated, innovative self-starter, with proven experience in influencing others within a dynamic organization
  • Able to develop productive partnerships with strategic companies to increase productivity & revenue
  • Experience developing programs and promotions for high technology services to both partners and customers in a multi-channel sales model organization
  • Develop and conduct presentations to Key Customers and Internal Leadership personnel as needed
  • Make effective customer presentations
  • Promote our image throughout the industry
  • Promote sales through active participation in trade shows and professional societies
  • Strong background in IT Services/Sales

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent Client-side skills
  • Excellent proven track record of “closing the deal”
  • Preferred 3+ years’ experience in technical sales or IT Services Sales
  • Experience in direct sales and solution selling
  • Ability to analyze complex business and technology issues while mapping a prospective client’s solution requirement.
  • Ability to forecast and qualify opportunities, assess prospect value, generate new sales, and execute consultative sales.
