We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to contribute to analysis and delivery of solutions across several strategic accounts. The role of the Data Scientist is to perform a range of functions with respect to information collection, analysis, insight, and presentation, including responding to requests for reports and dashboard design, and proactively providing relevant data and information in support of program initiatives.

Key activities will include data collection, analysis, synthesis & insight, report design, development of new analysis and reporting capabilities, driving product improvement initiatives based on field reporting data, and monitoring various aspects of program metrics.

  • Compile program reports and dashboards
  • Manage changes to reporting databases and maintain effective data collection protocols
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and methodologies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and communicate analysis and findings in a clear, concise manner to internal and external customers
  • Filter and “clean” data, review data reports and performance indicators to identify coding/query problems, or quality improvement opportunities
  • Develop analytic-based models that assist in predicting performance
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Identify process gaps and work cross functionally to formulate improvement plans
  • Work with database administrator to improve database functionality and efficiency
  • Work closely with internal and external clients to prioritize business and information needs
  • Lead data, reporting & analytics implementation design & execution teams as required
  • Maintain professional relationships with all team members and internal/external stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, statistics, computer science, or mathematics fields preferred (Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis (10+ years preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience as a data scientist or similar analytical role (10+ years preferred)
  • 5+ more years of experience presenting data models, statistical results, and data insight to internal and external customers (10+ years preferred)
  • 5+ more years of experience leading data-driven design, analysis, and teams (10+ years preferred)
  • Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
  • Automotive marketing experience preferred
  • Clearly demonstrated business-related problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities, including competing demands
  • Must be a self-starter, work well with minimal supervision, and accept responsibility
  • Team participation and effectiveness
  • Must have ability to collaborate across functions to form strong working relationships


Technical Skills:


  • Strong familiarity and hands-on experience with SQL and statistical software packages (Python, R, SAS)
  • Expert knowledge of MS SQL servers, as well as relational database design and concepts, including the use of ORM’s
  • Expert knowledge in Excel required, as well as an understanding of Gembox for report creation
  • Intermediate knowledge of dashboard production, preferably Tableau, Power BI or the ability to learn the software quickly. HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with ASP.net, .Net Core, and C#
  • Ability to use machine learning and social listening to manage unstructured data
  • Ability to evaluate data from Google or Adobe Analytics, Azure Application Insights or other application performance management systems
