I have tried using other recruiters (after they beg and plead) and the experience has more or less sucked with everyone else. Mismatched jobs, they mess with your resume to make it look like you have experience with stuff that you really don’t, bad companies, I know when I call you guys, I am going to talk to quality companies about positions that I will enjoy and will be capable of mastering.
In my experience, most recruiters simply fall off the radar if a candidate is not moved forward in the interviewing process. This can be dehumanizing. I have found TAG to be one of the best (if not THE best) recruiting companies that I've worked with. Working with the Talent Advantage Group (TAG) has been a breath of fresh air when it comes to talent companies. Let me explain; usually I apply to a position or contact a recruiter, and then work with an individual for a little while…but then, the phone calls, and the emails stop, and eventually, you never hear from them again. With TAG, it was so different. I applied to a position I found online, then the next day I spoke to Bob Kronner. Bob felt I would be a great fit for the opportunity and was transparent on the process. He said that TAG would be sending only the most qualified candidates to their client and one of them would most likely get hired.
